Hanging with the Big Bosses

This week we had a really cool Zone Conference. Elder Cornish of the area 70 presidency came and it was almost strange to see the mission president with him. This is the first time I have seen my mission president not be the big boss. Elder Cornish taught us a lot so it is hard to pin point what he taught but I remember him talking about how Haiti is being really self reliant on missionary work. Haiti has almost no missionaries but they have some stakes. The mission president talked about hopefully soon having sisters in Guyana. I honestly think that sounds so interesting. Guyana is a tough place. We got a baptism this week for Crystal so it's going to be a good finish to my mission. #2weeks I don't ever have much to say anymore. I am excited to get home but I sure do love being a missionary. Well I will see you all soon enough!

Diamond Throwback

This week had been a good amount of fun. I went to Diamond which was my first area with my good friend Elder Dearing who was my MTC companion. It was amazing to see people I have not seen in almost 2 years. I think it is preparing me to go home in a few weeks #NotTrunky I liked seeing how people after a minute would remember me and for some strange reason they think that I still have a bit longer in the mission and they didn't know that it was my first area too. I loved seeing everyone there. We also have a miracle baptism coming up on the 28th. Her name is Crystal and she was taught by missionaries in the UK and she is really prepared to get baptized. She knows a lot and she invites her cousins to sit in with us. Pretty much her whole family will probably get baptized in a matter of weeks. I wish I could be here for all their baptisms and I even thought about asking for an extension for my mission but that probably wouldn't happen and Mom would probably kill me. Working hard here and just enjoying the time while I still can. Hanging out with the dying group that I came out with: Elder Dearing (MTC Companion) and Elder Glade (Thug Nasty) #3Weeks

See you guys soon!

#Phagwah

Phagwah is my favorite holiday now! We had such a great time! Basiaclly you throw colored powder at people and they do it back to you. Got offered a lot of alcohol but afterwards they give me a coke. Almost everyone is drunk and it's just so fun! We went to a black neighborhood because right where we live Hinduism is huge. They blasted Hindi music and fed us so much Indian food. I can't complain with that at all. Elder Nelson Started off not wanting to play at all but before Studies even started I went in our front yard and played. We rode our bikes and kids have water guns with colors in them and one kid sprayed us. Elder Nelson tried telling the kid not to get him and I yelled "HIT ME!" The kid got us both and boy Elder Nelson was not smiling at all. About 30 minutes later though he had almost half as much fun as I did. I say half as much because I think I enjoyed it more than the Indians did. I got an idea that day too to have a message with some neighbors about baptism. I talked about how we have to clean ourselves and then they said we have to take showers and then I asked how we get our souls clean from sin. They had no idea so we talked about baptism and they all said they wanted to get baptized (Only one of them was drunk). The next day we saw them again and showed them the new Bible videos so they could get to know who Jesus Christ is. They seemed a little less ready to get baptized this time. They still love us but maybe it was the Phagwah party they were having. Anyways we got a referral from the UK named Crystal who almost got baptized in England and wants to know where the church is so hopefully I can get her baptized before I get home. Well That's about it for this week. See you soon!

Gotta Get Some Trunky Pills

Holy cow man! I got too much on my plate. I mean that in saying preparing to go home. I got a going home questionnaire due in like 2 weeks and I got a lot to fill out on that. I also have to email you guys and my mission president. Well basically I will keep this somewhat short. Here is a picture of the new companion named Elder Nelson. We got Dairy Queen today and I got a large Butterfinger blizzard. They advertise a ton of flavors and have less than half of the actual flavors. I wanted Brownie Temptation because it fits with my name but they wouldn't let me get that because they don't have it. In America I am getting the Oreo Cheesequake as soon as I get home! I like that one bad! Well we are working with the Nazio family and the mom just does not want to get baptized no matter what. We try to explain the Priesthood to her and she always replies "Yeah well Jesus was baptized once so I was baptized once!" She doesn't mind coming to the church but she insists on getting baptized or letting her daughters get baptized. Her daughter totally knows this is true and she is pretty sad about that. We are working with another girl named Radika and she wants to get baptized on the 23rd which is her birthday and a Monday. We met a really cool guy named Abraham who is from India and asked if he could add me on Facebook so mom you gotta accept that. Abraham is a really cool guy and it makes me want an Indian brother in law so I could always hang out with him. For a while I thought about how it would be cool to have in laws straight from India. Well Abraham works here as an anatomy teacher and says he is probably going to Boston sometime and might want to go to Phoenix for a job so I gotta keep tabs on him. Well like I said so much to do in such little time. I love you all and before you know it I will get to say that to you in the face. I gotta get out all of the missionary-ness in this mission that I can still get.
Love you all.
